Wait a minute... Simple amplifier question
What happens when I amplify voltage 10 000 times? or 100 000 times?
And supply this voltage the to regular Analog IC? I saw several circuits when they do that without any protection measures? But how is this possible? If I amplify just 1V 10k times it becomes 10 000V. Without any resistor it is 10 000 Amps!!!!!!!!!! It can blow up everything to sh"t. |
Interesting first post for a RC site. Can you provide more info on what you saw?
If it's a typical op amp for example, just a guess based on your high gain comments, a feedback circuit can lower the gain to an appropriate level for the IC. |
Oops
I think it takes supply voltage as it's limits?
Am I right? So if I have +15 and -15 supply it is 30V maximum? But nevertheless 30V is 30Amps. |
It depends, need more info, voltage gains vary based on the circuit. FYI, 30V does not necessarily equal 30 Amps, depends on load.

Thank you Dave, usually I wait days to see any answer regarding electronics)
