Default Lipo Charger Questions

I have been using a 4 port Hobbypartz charger for a number of years and have thought it may be time to upgrade. There is nothing wrong with the charger I have but it seems to me that it may not be the most sophisticated piece of equipment around. If I attach a battery to all 4 ports I may get 4 different values for my battery. Then when I try to run a storage program on my battery it never seems to want to quit. The problem is that I have looked at a lot of manuals from different chargers and the menus all seem to be identical. If the menu is identical I'm not sure the charger would be any better than what I have. What should I be looking for? Thanks for the help.

Most of those cheap chargers use the same or very similar hardware and software systems.

I was looking at the iCharger 106B+ and it looks to be the same. Am I missing something?

the 4 button design is pretty common, but not all are *exactly* the same. the junsi chargers are some of the highest quality on the market, and should have no problems doing battery maintenance.

I have been thinking of getting a couple 106b chargers. I will just be charging 2 cell lipos at 5a or less. How big a power supply do I need to run the 2 at the same time?

Would a 14v @ 25a 350w be enough for this?

Yes, with ease. You would be using perhaps a little over 100W from the power supply to charge a pair of 2S packs at 5 amps each.

There may be lots of i-chargers sold but I cant vouch for their QC....I went thru 2 306B's, 1st one had error on screen, warranty replaced with another and then the 2nd one the LCD screen would not show up when powering on. Gave up after no response from Progressive. Ended up throwing in the trash and picked a Revolectrix PowerLab 6.

You wont find much better than these.
