Brushless will throw the wheels faster. It is not as power hungry and a glitch buster should not be needed (depends on what your BEC can feed it though).

The only downside seems to be spending about $30-$50 extra

I am really liking mine. They use less current and leave more power for the motor. Plus you can get rid of the glitch busters, not needed. The 2274 specs are .08 and 347 in oz torque. Plenty for my DESC410R. Amain $103.49 sale.

Gonna try the 2273. For me, I usually end up slowing down anything faster than .10 as it feels too abrupt. maybe I'll try expo but that got kinda weird too. Think there's a reason the 7955 is the most popular servo for a reason cause most of us mortals drive better with a torquey servo of around .12-.15 however, it's nice having that 2274 speed cause it's still great on low 6v while keeping great torque. This is the reason I bought the SV-1271SG as it's great as an HV throttle for nitro or a 6v steering for 4x4 short course. Now she's steering the Mugen buggy strong and effortless on 6.5v
