DX3s binding

hey guys i have a dx3s radio and 2 sr3000 receivers one in my truggy and just put one in my Hydroplane, the one in my hydro is way bundled up into the sponson and is a pain in the a** to get to. Do I have to manually bind them every time i want to one or the other or can it hold memory and just switch between the two via the transmitter? please any info or directions on how to set this feature up would be much obliged. thanks in advance.

No you don't have to rebind. Bind the receivers to different model settings in the transmitter to start with. Then just switch to the correct model on the transmitter to run each.

Yep. The manual will tell you how, but here's a quick run down:
Prep the Rx to bind by providing battery and installing bind plug.
Select the model number (01-20) you want to use on the Tx
Then go through tye menu to the Bind option
Select it and scroll down a click to start the bind.
Once done, operate a servo to ensure it bound properly.
Back in main menu, select a different model than before, repeat Rx and Tx steps above.
The DX3 can hold 20 different models.

Also, under the palm handgrip there is an SD card slot where you can save off your programs, in case you have to replace the Tx later or something.
Another nice part is that all your trim and other settings for each model remain with that model in the Tx. No having to reset all your settings each time you change tye model for Tx.

Download the manual on Spektrums site and save it on your computer or print it out.
Comes in handy.

Also not sure where DFMikey is getting his information but the DX3S is only a 10 model Tx and there is no SD card slot under the grip pad. Slightly confused methinks.

Also the SR3000 receiver doesn't use a bind plug, it has a built in bind button.

And just in case, the transmitter positions while binding will be the fail-safe positions.
