What is going on with the Proton Rx? Is it discontinued? Can you still get the telemetry sensors for it?

Very quiet in here. I love my 4s radio.

Also, any updates on a no wire Rx?

Does anyone know of a better battery? My original battery is now holding a charge for a long time now and its pretty much time to replace it.

Proton 4 discontinued, Proton 4E is the replacement. The GPS was buggy in the original so it has been eliminated in the 4E.

This LiPo is a popular choice for the Lynx 4S:

I've ordered my Lynx 4s just 2 days ago. I know that a response from Mike a year or two ago said, that all new systems in the distribution channel would need the software updates. Is this still the case? I'm really looking forward to trying this radio! Thank you in advance!

Only one way to check, and that's by looking at what version displays when first booted up.

It is supposed to be here Tuesday. Will the HPP-22 work with a Mac?

Sorry, no Macintosh support. You wouldn't believe the issues we've had trying to go that route..

Understandable...I just received the transmitter today. I used to race in the '80s (yeah, i guess I'm old now), and the radios have come a very long way! Any assistance or suggestions on initial settings for racing 17.5 buggy would be very appreciated! Thank you again!

Just make sure to set your steering endpoints and play with the exponential. It can be really handy.

Has anyone had any issues with the screen light not working? I turned the radio on today, and noticed that the lcd screen light isn't coming on at all. I've tried 2 different batteries also. Everything else works, the screen is on, but not lit up.

I have also changed the settings for the light level and the timer. But the light still, never comes on. I was really hoping to race next Saturday, but not sure if it will be worth the struggle of not being able to read the screen at times.

Thank you,
Rob.

Did you install the drop-down with the provided screws? Or did you re-use the screws that were originally installed in the transmitter?
