Looks like a cosmetically reworked server ps. The price is pretty good for the specs though, but some will want 24 volts.

lol, yeah it is a reworked power supply. I did some reading. That model is not the easiest to convert. IMO the DPS-600 is much less work and easy to make 24v. But, the one from Schuurspped is nice looking though. I wonder if its painted or powered coated. For wear and tear reasons.

BTW, why do guys want 24v? WTF are people using 1500+ watts for, lol. Even for 4s ebuggy charging, I would think 850 watts is plenty.

12V will work for many car uses, but can be a little low for some of the bigger dual chargers on 1/8 scale and monster trucking packs though. Remember most of the bigger chargers have input current limits, in many cases the full power and amp output of a 12V server supply is not usable. In my own case what some would consider a moderate power charger needs at least 15V to reach it's 360W capability.

24V supplies can be very useful for the larger plane and heli guys. 12S and bigger packs are not unheard of. 24V can even be limiting at the extreme.

I have seen a few videos where they hit the 47amp rating of the dps600 using an icharger 308 charger charging a 4S pack. For 2s 20 amp charging I dont even need 250 watts. The dps600 is perfect for me. They can be bought for $18 shipped and converted for less than $10 in parts. so $28 is pretty hard to beat ofr an RC power supply. The shuurspeed one is just pretty, but priced on par with the ebay ones for sale.
