Futaba 3PRKA

It seems that this radio has good review because of the price mostly. I absolutely need a 2.4ghz system because I run brushlees, but I don't know which one to get. I was going to get the Airtronics MX-V, but than I noticied the lower price of this radio and the good reviews. Any thoughts? MX-V or 3PRKA?

I would recommend the mx-v. both are very different types of radios. The 3pk only has turn nobs for adjustment. the MX-v at least has a basic digital screen for adjustments.

Another good radio is the 3PL, it also has a digital screen for adjustments.

To clarify, I guess what I am asking is would the 3PRKA be good enough for my purposes? I would prefer to spend less, but I will buy the MX-V if it is a lot better.

If your purpose is to control one car and nothing else the 3PKRA is fine. The 3PL or MX-V are the better choices if you plan on getting another car or just need more adjustments in the future. The Futaba costs a little more but the receivers are a little cheaper, can't go wrong with either.

+1 3pkra would be perfect for basic stuff. If you dont need fine adjustments. I had a 3PL and it was a great intro radio.

So than new question, 3pl, or mx-v?

Feature wise, they are nearly identical so it will all be up to the feel in your hand. The MX-V comes with a waterproof receiver if thats important to you.

I do find the top mounted screen easier to use than the side mounted screen.

So I guess the mx-v it is. Thank you for the quick responses:)
