Help Planning new build!
hows it going guys... I'm in the process of planning a new 1/8 nitro truggy build.. here's what I'm considering so far..
Truggy: MBX7T when it comes out.. Engine/pipe: Clockworks Novarossi 28-7/JP2 Radio: Airtronics MT-4 with RX461. Now I need your guys advice on RX battery and steering and throttle/brake servos. should I go life or lipo rx battery? if I go lipo for higher voltage do I need bec or voltage control to prevent brown out? what are good torque and timing values for brake/throttle servo?? thanks for any feedback :) |

thank you sir for the feedback.. Lipo and high voltage servos it is.. im planning to race.. do you have any suggestions for the servos?? Im considering these two for steering.. http://www.amain.com/product_info.ph...a-Torque-Servo and http://www.amain.com/product_info.ph...o-High-Voltage

does anyone have any input on these two steering servos? the hitec has 403oz at .12 sec and the savox has 487oz at .11 sec.. I would think based off the specs that the savox would be the better choice.. reliability is also important to me..

As quick as you can for a throttle and brake servo, so probably .1 seconds or better and 250+ oz in for brakes. Then for steering .15 or faster and 350+ oz in would be good.
Make sure to pick up a throttle return spring and a fail safe too. |
as far as throttle/brake servos.. I'm considering these two.. http://www.amain.com/product_info.ph...-Digital-Servo and http://www.amain.com/product_info.ph...-Digital-Servo ...
which do you guys think are better specs for truggy throttle/brake servo... 194 oz at .09 sec or 236 oz at .14 sec... |
thanks Panda for the feedback :)

Both are a little on the light side.

Here's what I'm thinking... steering: http://www.amain.com/product_info.ph...o-High-Voltage
throttle/brake: http://www.amain.com/product_info.ph...o-High-Voltage |
Ah, perfect. Would be a great choice.

Thank you sir for the feedback.. we are making progress :)
Now what would you guys recommend for a rx battery pack and charger?? |
