Alert message on main screen
Hello everyone I have a message on the main screen that reads the current Center Point is invalid. When I put the charger away 5 months ago there was nothing wrong with it. And when I plugged it in today that is the message that comes up. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated thank you

I have a new icharger 406 and an X6. I also have an 85w power supply and all cables.
I am looking for the best way to get all this to the track.
I use ridgid cases to transport.
RIDGID 22 in. Pro Organizer, Black-222571 - The Home Depot
There is a hard case adapter out there for about $100 that mounts the icharger and the power supply. Room on the sides for discharger, batteries, cables, etc.
Other option would be buy just buy some phone for $20-$30 and cut it out.
Difference would be the chargingcases.com one I would just flip the lid, plug it in and start charging. Set up and breakdown would be quick.
If I go with foam, I'd take the charger and PS out, set it up, etc. I'd probably have more room on the bench doing this.
Anyone have any real world experience about which way to go. Don't mind spending $100 if it is worth it to be setup that way.

Slow, Normal and Fast Balance are just presets. You can see the settings for each one by selecting it then going into Set. You can't change the preset values, but you can view them.
If I remember correctly it only changes the Balance Diff and Balance Set Point. Fast has higher values, I think 8mV, normal is 5mV and slow is 3mV.

I was considering a 406 until I read this forum and I now see more benefit in 2 S6 chargers. 2 S6'are cheaper than a 406. As long as your power supply can provide the power, a 12V power supply could allow you to charge 2 2S packs at 40 amps, yet the 406 has the 60 amp limit. If one fails, you always have the other charger, where as if you have an issue with a 406, you could have no charger. The only downside to me is the extra space and the stupid scroll wheel, but thats it.

The 406 you can make a special cable to combine the channels and get 70 amps (nobody does this). And TBH, these chargers are fast enough that you only need one S6. The only benefit is the better control interface and its also easier to setup a discharger for the 406 (although in the forum there are people who modified/made custom cables to do regenerative discharging with the X6/S6.
As for fixing ichargers, progressiverc works, although my guess is that they don't fix them they just send it back to the manufacturer (progressiverc is only one of the importers). The actually people who manufacture the ichargers are junsi/hillrc.

It really depends on how you charge your batteries and discharge them as well. I kind of went the other directions after after using in a race situation for a few weeks. We have a 406 and an X6. I run an 85amp power supply. On my car, I do cycle batteries before a race and the 406 is SOOO much better at that, but that relegates it to a single charger and makes it expensive at that. But, it is really good at that.
I like the X/S6, but the limited standalone discharge current and the lack of being able to cycle batteries with a high discharge current reduces it's usability. It is perfect for how my son charges his batteries as he doesn't cycle. It will be perfect for how my wife will charge batteries when she starts racing shortly. Perfect except for the horrible thumbwheel. If they would have just added one select button it would have made it even better.
In the end, how you charge your batteries will make the biggest difference in which one is right for you. At non sale prices, it is a tough jump to the 406. I intend to wait until there is a sale similar to last black friday where I got a 406 at $225. When that happens, I'll add another. In the meantime, I'll likely add an S6 or another X6 to the charging box so that there are no fights over charging.

You can do regenerative discharging on the X6/S6, you just need to make the correct lead for it. Also, $225 is a killer deal, do you remember where you got it?

All electronics will have occasional problems, but if you buy it from a good LHS, they can help you get it exchanged.
