It depends on what batteries you are trying to charge. You can charge 2 2s batteries at 40A each with a single 1200 watt server power supply. Doesn't really matter though because he was asking about discharging both batteries at 40A at the same time, which is possible only if you power the charger off a lead acid battery instead of a power supply.

SlotCarRacer, are you trying to discharge two batteries at once because you are using two packs together?

Seemed to me that he wants to use the function to charge one pack and discharge the other one into the one that’s charging? I don’t know how to do it either.

It depends on what type of battery you are charging. For a 2s battery, your max wattage at 40 amps is approx (8.4 volts * 40 amps) = 336 watts.
There are a lot of guys charging multiple 2s batteries @ 40 amps off one 12v power supply, as you can see in the video above.

For anyone looking for a carry solution, I have found the Jconcepts universal radio bag to work very well. Picture doesn't show cables but there is plenty of room.

Anyone know the orientation of the ribbon cables to the main board. And also to the screen. I'm not sure I have mine correct. Couple pics would be great. Thanks.

Default Discharge problem

My i406 Duo now reads voltage in the second channel as soon as I plug in my resistor bank. The charger now thinks the second channel is in use, and won't allow a discharge.

Anyone have a similar problem? Any fixes?

Have a 406 duo, and last few trips to the track one side will show a connection error and not charge, swapped boards, swapped cables etc... nothing changes so I just charge from the other side. Fire the charger back up a day or so later and it works fine until you run a few packs then it does the same thing? any idea's

I am pretty sure this power supply can do it. it is adjustable from 6v to 15v https://www.progressiverc.com/charge...er-supply.html
