Don't disagree at all, but it worked just fine. I was a little nervous plugging it in, but on the 308 thread, they confirmed the wiring.

Couldn't agree more! That's why no one uses my charger but me!

How are racers achieving more than a 10amp discharge? Considering 1 of these chargers and heard people are discharging at high amps using degenerative discharging
Thanks

+1. I need to figure this out too, the manual could be a little bit better.

idbdoug,

You will need to either hook up the charger to a full size car battery (regenerative discharging) or add some sort of resistor bank to the second channel (basically discharging from one channel to the other...I have yet to try this).

Or there is a stand-alone discharger (don't have the link handy) that supposedly works well.

wow...what kind of resistor bank do we need? I heard of some charging on one channel and discharging on the other channel to gain increased amps on the discharge. That is what the manual kind of explains, was going to try that later. You can also connect both channels to the battery and set to synchronous mode to gain a few amps.

Thanks, going to set that up tonight. You have to set it to regenerative discharge correct?

Matt,

Check the 308 thread, there was a guy using one of the Integy Reactor discharger as the resistor bank. He basically gutted the electronics and hooked the wires to the resistor inside of the case. For only $20, it was a cheap way to discharge at 25amps.

You would need to find one of those though...

try integy.com:

Price went up! lol, it was $17 last I checked a few weeks ago. You might also be able to find one sitting in a hobby shop somewhere.

Here's some pictures to give you an idea of what you do with the reactor:

Charging on one channel and discharging on the other channel to gain increased amps on the discharge works good and is easy. There's no need to buy more stuff if you have an old lipo laying around

Found the link to the standalone discharger:

To date, I have yet to find any reviews on it.
