Possible failsafe issue
Ok here's the situation I have a spektrum radio (dx3s) and receiver and with everything off, I turned on the receiver switch and the failsafe kicked on for brakes.. When I turned on radio the throttle link went into its neutral position.. With both rx and tx powered on I shut off the radio and failsafe kicks on for brakes again... Sounds great and how I want it to be...however on my airtronics (mx-3fhss) radio/receiver with everything off I turn on my receiver switch and I don't have the fail safe for brakes.. I only have it when both are powered on and I shut radio off..my question is how come I don't have fail safe on the airtronics when I power up the receiver with radio still off like the spektrum does... Any ideas??

Failsafe is automatic on the Spektrum when you bind it....I'm pretty sure you have to SET failsafe on the Airtronix. What does the manual say?

You don't want full brake for your failsafe. Set it to go to neutral. you still want steering.

Best fail safe besides a properly set up radio is a "return spring". |

How does a loss of radio signal include still having steering????????????????

Maybe he meant for electric cars.. I've heard a lot of people who run electric who set the fail safe to neutral.. Also maybe afraid of burning out their throttle servo from improper EPA adjustment.
My settings for nitro is the same and it'll pull a little bit of brake on just to take the edge of if I'm at near top speed when the failure occurs (which it will always be lol!). That wouldn't stress the servo either whereas 100% brake would... |
