Whats the proper way to store mounted tires

I have lots of opened tires mounted and un-mounted, I would like to know what is the proper way to store them and keep them from being dried out. I know zip lock bags, but is there another way....

Another way... not really. All you're doing by bagging the tires is keeping the chemicals that help keep the tire soft from evaporating.

Correct to keep them in sealed containers of some type, most rubber types are degraded by exposure to oxygen and especially ozone. Ever see old rubber that has cracks all over the surface? Ozone.

Keep them unloaded, if on cars use stands. If in boxes etc make sure they aren't squished out of natural shape, careful with stacking etc. Otherwise they will take a permanent set and won't return to the original shape.

Keep them cool and dry. Heat is the enemy, moisture doesn't help.

Keep them out of light. Natural and artificial.
