For the rustler,i highly suggest the viper copperhead vx4r.39 motor and ESC combo for $119. It's an amazing combo. Tons of power and veryyyy smooth! If you want one for your SC and rustler i suggest the 4500kv. Although 550 can might be a little big.

thanks alot

last setups i have was a !/8 hobbywing setup in my slash and a tekin rs 7.5 in a rustler. I know there has to be alot more companies out now.

whats the driffence between Sensored and Sensorless

wever75 01-19-2014 10:31 AM

Yeah, tekin is great but there pricey. Lots of people like hobbywing too, i tryed to hobbywing ESC's and personally didn't like them. There's tons of options. I think the best bang for the buck IMO is the viper

later on i would like to upgrade to a better setup what companys are out there
besides castle and tekin. or are they still up there on the list

for the rustler i would get the castle sidewinder combo. It is cheap, and holds its value pretty well. then, when you want to start racing, sell it, and put the money towards a race combo.

You would be supprised, I have one for my stampede and its a very nice combo

ThePanda 01-21-2014 01:12 PM

something sensored would be ideal. My castle motor had lots of cogging down low, and at slow speed off power had lots of magnet "twitching" or clicking around the rotation, due to manget strength.

These won't be race able anyways, as they are 4 pole, not allowed.

His track may allow, i know dirt burners allows 4 pole motors. He should check before making a purchase.
