Help With LiPos pls
 

Hello,

heres the deal... i got 2 (New) Venom 1200 Mah 11.1v 15C batts.

these came with tamiya mini plugs, so i when ahead and switch them to deans, as ive done many times in the past.

Now this time around i dont know what happened , but its like i lost all battery power on both of them once i put the deans on. I go to check the voltage, with two different voltage checkers and nothing, wont even blink.

tried to charge them, get (CONNECTION BREAK) message.

these are new batts , and they were working and charging fine before i soldered the dean plugs, and i do know how to solder, not like i burned the s**t out of it, however i am lost here with this one.

any input would be great guys ...

do you have cold solder joints? thats all i can think of. You could also take the deans off, and check if then.

Did you solder the new plugs onto the batteries with the male and female pieces connected? The heat from soldering can and will shift the Deans type contacts. I did just that last summer and it took me a couple of hours to figure it out.

that could happen too. deans are spring loaded though, so they still should contact.

i un soldered the deans and checked the voltage using the balance tabs and it wont even light up the voltage meter

Not to brag, but im am pretty decent at soldering, wires barely get warm. i have done this process countless times,since it is part of the hobby, but have never ran into this type of problem before and must say i am pretty dazzled by it, kinda pisses me off actually given their new batteries

no, did them separate
