hey guy's looking for a servo for my losi 22t. I've been looking at this servo here;

never used this brand so not sure.

for servos I would stick to a name brand. There is nothin wrong with those, they are just not the face of reliability.

I have tried many of those Solar servos in different application and they have all took a crap. I was hoping they would of been good cause of the price but I guess you get what you pay for. Don't know what your budget Is like but the Spektrum S6040 is a great servo for the price. About $70. They pretty much last forever.

Will they warranty it if it dies? Do you have to pay to ship it back if it dies? That $15 servo could end up costing you more in shipping and wasted time then what you paid for it. That being said, are you racing or just bashing in a parking lot? I am pretty sure it won't handle big air or lots of abuse for long. You might want something a bit stronger for your truck. Cheap servos are cheap.

I run the Spektrum S6040 in many of my vehicles (see my signature) and they are quiet, fast, and reliable. My vote for best servo for the money and better than many of the more expensive ones.

A good swervo lasts a long time. I have 20 year old ones still performing as new. Spend the extra, it's well worth it in the long run. Lots of great swervos out to choose from. One CRITICAL aspect is choosing a swervo that works well with your radio and esc. Let us know what you have. For example using a savox swervo with a spektrun radio is problematic and not recommended.

I don't know about that. They tend to be more amp hungry and brown out some RX's. This happened to me when I was in a bind and needed one for my 1/10 and 1/8 as well. I steer clear of them.

The solar servos aren't bad but they aren't great either. For on-road you want as precise a servo as you can get, and for my money nothing has beaten Futaba (9551 and bls551) yet. I do have a solar d770 in a t1m I have for messing around with and while its a little noisy sometimes it hasnt been bad.

I agree 100%.
That saying, you get what you pay for, applies to 99% of anything you buy. With this hobby, and especially if you race, it applies 100% of the time.
In my electric touring car I use the Ko Propo RSX one10 low profile servo and its flawless. Also, I use the same servo for my nitro sedan for throttle and the RSX response speed version for steering. They're pretty pricey, but they're well worth it. I am still pretty new to racing but when I started using these better servos, my driving actually had gotten bettee

I have run the solars with not failures and not for trying, lol. I out the Low profile one in my scte and kinda tried to break, so I would have an excuse to buy a "better" one. but it didnt die. I bought a better one anyway, but in all honesty, I felt no difference on the track. This is the one I own. Well, I own 3 of them, no failures.

Purchasing a proven name brand usually works out best in the long run.
