ESC: 120A vs 120A
My question is what's the difference in 4S compatible 120A ESC's marketed for 1/8 scale versus those marketed for SCs versus those marketed for 1/10 scale non-SC? In my naive mind, 120 is 120. Shed knowledge please.

And FWIW, 1:8 ESCs are pretty common players in 1:10 SC :D |

Yes. 120A is way different when you double the voltage.

The 1/8 scale ESC is capable of handling motors that produce double the wattage of their 1/10 scale counterparts. 1/10 scale ESCs normally have an input voltage rating of 2S (7.4 volts), whereas the 1/8 scale ESCs are nominally rated at 14.8 volts. Double the voltage at the same amperage rating = double the power handling capability...
