Working on Samsung Galaxy 2 4.3 software. The app updated itself and was using the Hotwire 2 minutes later. Painless thanks Tekin racing this weekend.

I have a galaxy s4 and a gen 1 Hotwire. Do I need anything besides the adapter to connect to the phone?

I would make sure that the Galaxy S4 supports OTG.

All you need is the OTG cable to connect the phone to the Hotwire USB cable.

Nope, you will just need an OTG cable for your phone using the Hotwire 1.0.

Works pretty good with the S4. Don't quite understand the timing on the rx8 though. Doesn't seem to be the same as on the laptop.

What's the difference between profile 0 - locked spec and profile profile 1 - spec stock? They both blink on the esc, but one is a 2 led blink and the other is 3 led blink. I'm new to tekin esc's and the software

They are both the same as far as spec mode goes but when in locked mode you can only make changes to the esc through the hotwire.

Ok so how about a little summary? I'm asking because I'm an Apple guy so I need to get my hands on an Android device....something cheap , as it will never be used for anything but the Hotwire.

1. The app will now support Android 3.1 and newer? Any device?

2. I have a Hotwire 1.0. So I'm good if the Android device supports OTG, all I need is an OTG cable?

3. If the device does not support OTG, i need to get a Hotwire 2.0? Or is it an absolute requirement for OTG support with either Hotwire?

Anyone have a compatible device they'd be willing to trade for an iPhone 4s?

The app supports 3.1 to 4.4, any android device that supports OTG.
The device has to support OTG, hotwire 1.0 or 2.0.
You will need a OTG cable with the 1.0 hotwire, no OTG needed with the 2.0.
I use 1.0 with a $1.70 shipping included OTG from china with a droid bionic. I'm sure you can find an older droid for dirt cheap.
