Im new to the rc world. I have a brusless motor I need a esc for, and cant figure out what to get. Any help is appreciated.

Motor specs:

18T
Max Current - 18A
Max Watts - 230W
Max Voltage - 12.6

It seems to me that unless your car is a $3000.00 hobby grade, then it is just a piece of:

It is a hobby grade oriented rc forum. Many "views" are visitors that can't post.

I also think people that are new to the RC world, and to this forum, are considered a nuisance. I have seen other posts from new members go ignored as well. At the other forum I was welcomed with open arms, and told anything I need to know, just ask. Therefore yall can have your $3000.00 hobby grade RC's, and not worry about me bothering your asses with my petty questions anymore. Yall can have this:

we are not required to answer you questions, so don't go boo hooing that they have not been answered. Much of the time questions have inadequate information, in your motor question you didn't tell us the name or brand of motor. That is like saying "I need an engine for a (full size) car, it has tires, a body, a roof, and it looks cool. there are probably 20 things that would work well, and 200 that wouldn't.

Good Riddance

Yep

Very well said, need some info. Ive not got answers at times, have to keep asking and give as much info as you can. Theres a lot of threads on here.

about the esc needed, its a mini sized motor so a few mini sized escs will work, but going to a full 1/10 esc will be better. Look into the castle sidewinder esc. it would be a good match for this motor.

not very many people have the funds to be able to spend 3000 on each car, and to those who do have the resources, they most likely don't, as its just not practical to have all your eggs in one basket like that. 3000 could go into making several kits (1/10 2wd) with top of the line stuff.
just FYI there.

FastPete I will pm the link to the motor.

Yo, where do the giant paragraph go?

And from the now gone giant paragraph. It's implied that it is about hobby grade rc cars. Thats why they are on the front page, and all threads are related to hobby grade rc. So I would expect answers about non hobby grade to not be as good, as say, an old toy forum.

Gotta say I was wondering why my 10 year old grandson was laughing so hard ,then I read what he was reading . I'm not laughing now. I for one would appreciate you editing your post and cleaning it up .

I've seen threads before where people complain about not getting answers to their questions and how solo many people have looked at it. MAYBE they don't have the answer so rather than post bs they move on.

Uh, you asked a question the day before Thanksgiving, a day when most people are AFK spending time with family and probably traveling.

hotrod87 12-01-2013 05:45 PM

Don't poke the bear.

I try to answer questions and help people also when I can but if I don't have a good solid answer I won't. I remember a specific time when I had bad info and was corrected by a member more knowledgeable on the subject than me. Hard to believe but true. Lol

Very good point, that I did not take into consideration.

I would like to appologize to the forum for the post's I made. I let my impatience, and anger of being criticized get the better of me. I have removed my post degrading the forum. I do hope that this can be forgotten about with time, and that I can still be accepted in this community.

Regards
