Default Futaba 4PL/3PL FHSS -- cheap receiver options?

Just curious if anyone knows of some cheap options for receivers, like the Orange receivers that work for Spektrum radios. Thanks.

Oh yes, I know they're less expensive than the FASST receivers, which is one of the reasons why I sold my 3PMX for a 4PL. I have 5 Futaba brand receivers already, but I read somewhere that there was a "cheap" option from hobbyking. Those orange receivers for Spektrum are 10 bucks a pop, and they work great. So I was just wondering if anyone else out there could confirm another option for my controller.

I use those in my rock crawlers (I use a Spektrum DX3R Pro for racing).

Do they work with the Futaba 3pl?

If they do then they will be heaps cheaper than the original Futaba branded one.

I have had the receiver now for 2 weeks. I can report that it has caused no issues for me and I think actually works better than the original (and saves weight)
