Reedy sonic 17.5 ISSUE? HELP!

Hello I have a reedy sonic 17.5 (original) that is having issues. It worked great last summer but I stopped driving it for about a year. Now when I drive it at the track it heats up very quickly and has no punch to it and doesn't accelerate well. I checked with other drivers and I am running the same gearing as others at my track(trackside hobbies). Any idea what could be causing this? I am running it in a team associated sc10 with 75/26 gearing. The motor is set to the 20 degree mark on the end bell. I didn't change anything between now and the last time I ran it a year ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My only guess would be a weak rotor from sitting, I've never seen it happen before but you never know

try putting some oil on the bearings. seems dumb but my dads novak 13.5 did the same after it sat for a while. one of the bearings seized up. oil fixed it.

cool i'll give that a try. Any chance it could be my ball diff or slipper? And actually not the motor itself?

Go through and check all the bearings. Also, check the slipper and pads for glazing an wear.
