Handset query
First off, hello this is my first post! I've recently rekindled my addiction to Tamiya RC cars after 27 years away, bought an XB Hornet and parts to fix up my 27 year old Grasshopper, but also this week bought and built a Novafox. If anyone is bothered, I've two photos of these new cars on my flickr page in my profile. As I'm new I can't post the link here.
I'm not sure if anyone will know/answer this as most seem to use the trigger grip rather than the handset set up, but I'll ask anyway. I've ordered a Flysky FS-T6 handset which comes with a receiver, etc. Now I know this is aimed at planes/helicopters, etc but it's a 2.4ghz set and my dads mate recommends them as he says he's got a few programs set up for a car, plane and a helicopter he's got and swears by this handset. My first query is that the forward/reverse stick has no spring back on it, which may not be a problem but I'd rather sort that out immediately. Does anyone know what I need to do to sort this out, or what the mod/part I need is even called? I've had a very unsuccessful search for this info and can only find unboxing videos and people setting them up with planes, which is of little use! I've tried other forums and my thread is either wasting peoples time or they don't know as I haven't had an answer in days. My other question is, will I have any issues using this with my Novafox? I've got the HS-311 servo and according to a quick google, the ESC in the Novafox is the TEU-105BK. Will all this work together after binding the ESC (if I need to do this, I have no experience with this as my new re-release Hornet arrived set up). All help appreciated as I'm starting to worry about this now (wish I'd thought of these things before ordering!) I have to have a handset rather than trigger as I'm lucky enough at 40 years old to have suddenly been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis which makes the trigger system extremely hard/painful to use. Thanks for any help offered. I do have a follow up question regarding ESCs and the 'T' ratings, but I'll save that one for later :D |
