Spektrum DX4S temp warning problem.
Hmm. Maybe someone here might know how to fix this problem.
Every time I connect my Spektrum DX4S with my B4.1 buggy, every few minutes I get a warning on my LCD screen saying *Warning, overheat 269•f*. I don't understand why it says this, I don't have any temp controllers installed in the buggy. I normally press the button on the controller and the warning goes away. It then returns in a few more minutes. Obviously if something was that hot, it would have cooked something in my buggy. I'm not sure why it is doing this. This problem doesn't happen when I have my controller hooked up to my SC10. Everything works fine with the truck. Any suggestions? I'm running an Orion 8.5t motor, black diamond esc and a spektrum receiver in the buggy. |

I use an Airtronics radio so I'm not familiar with your radio but...
Can't you go into the telemetry menu and disable the alarm? If not, plug in the temp sensor and give it a real temp. Just zip tie the sensor to the motor near the pinion (usually the highest temps on the can) and out of harms way. I have since moved the sensor to the pinion side, but so you can see what I'm explaining. My sensor reads about 1or 2 degrees higher than my raytek temp gun. http://i1144.photobucket.com/albums/...141512_875.jpg |
fq, thanks mate. Apparently it's a software problem. I'll need to update it to stop the message.
