hobbywing program box??

I have the 80amp platinum esc for heli and purchased the program box to set the Soft start but the program box doesnt allow the start mode to be changed from Normal mode?? WHY? HELP

you may not have the right software loaded on the box. Do you have the usb cable to connect to a PC. Download the correct software for the application and the option may show up.

Asterik mean default setting I thought?

When you change the setting you do push "OK" (far right button on box) to save to the ESC right? You can change all the settings you want on there but unless you push OK it wont send the changes to the ESC.

Also, have you updated the firmware like ovalracer asked?

I am having some trouble with my hobbywing program box as well. I have 2 Justock esc's and a Xtreme Stock. They are all recently purchased (within a month). I also bought a 3 in 1 program box as well.

The problem is using the program box to make adjustments to the speed controllers. When I plug the esc into the program box, I can barely see the characters being produced on the screen. If the box is tilted at an extreme angle I can barely make out the "ghost letters" on the screen. I managed to get one speedo up and running enough to compete in a race, but I would like to do some further fine tuning.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, or have any idea how to remedy the problem??

Thanks...

That's caused by the light polarizer not being installed correctly on the LCD from the factory. Return it.

Thanks for the info, was thinking there might be an assembly issue. I'll return it and get another one...

That will also happen if you have a dead/low voltage battery. Mine did the same thing with a very low battery.
