HELP!!! affordable 17.5 kit

i am fairly new to the hobby and i am looking for some input on the best bang for the buck esc and motor combo. I will be installing it on my associated b4.1. i plan on running the stock buggy class so i have to stay at 17.5 turn. any input will be helpful. thanks

Buy this HW ESC to start with. Absolutely the best value out there for a 17.5 class ESC right now. Then, buy a good motor. If I needed a new 17.5 motor for OffRoad racing right now, this is what I'd order: http://www.stormerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...ns&pn=REV1602T

Buy the Hobbyking X-car 120a ESC and USB adapter for under $50 shipped. Then you have an ESC that can be used for blinky, but then also grow with you if you decide to run mod and need boost/timing/advanced settings later on. This ESC is a direct clone of the Hobbywing XERUN v2.1 120amp.

Then, pick up either a used 17.5 in the forums, or wait for the SMC 17.5T motor to be released.

EDIT - or just buy this from here - http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...tor-110-a.html

thanks for the input guys but i already jumped on one. the thread was kinda dead so i went and bought a novak club 17.5 kit. i got everything for 104.99 hope i didn't do to bad. In time if i go to mod buggy i will build a complete new chassis since i am currently using a stock b4.1. thanks again guys
