Novak used to have a trade-in program where you could get a discount on a new ESC by sending in an older dead model, you might want to look into that. Otherwise, ESC repairs are generally only done by the OEM itself.

If it needs a push to get going, that's a motor or sensor problem. The only way it would be the esc itself is if it's the socket for the sensor wire. Make sure it's clean and undamaged. You could try hitting the connections for the socket to the board with an iron.

I had a pulse do this as well. Acted like it had a hung brush (for those of you that know what that means). Tried different sensor wires, motors, radios. It just happened randomly one day, was told by another Novak team driver that it was probably one of the sensor phases in the esc. Tried another esc and all is good, the one that failed was under warranty . Hope you get it sorted out.

Thank you for the info. Yea I tried the sensor wire and a new motor. It's def the speedo. It sounds more like what you described , I'll try to get it traded in but I really don't want another Novak. Thanks again to all who posted.

Trade in the novak and sell it right away, then but either a Tekin or Orion.
