Hard LiPo shells
 

Does anyone know where I can purchase hard lipo shells? I have a source for lipo cells and I want to build my own packs but I can't seem to find a place to purchase the hard shells themselves. If anyone could help, I would appreciate it.

Good luck, I tried to google for you ,using alot of different search terms and I could not find anything solid.

Only reference I found was that max amps was going to sell hard cases so people could put soft packs into them. ROAR came out and said people would not be allowed to run them. So, I think you may have a hard time finding them.

I did a little searching too and its hard to find any info on this. I would love to get some shells to use for personal use. Everything regarding racing does not revolve around ROAR. I have some choice words for that organization but for the sake of the kids, ill keep it g rated. A lot of clubs allow people to run batteries for some races that are not ROAR approved. Also, just because its a hard shell, doesn't mean its gonna be used in racing or in an RC car at all. I appreciate the effort anyways..

I understand your feelings on ROAR, just remember that if a sanctioning body will not back something then most likely it will die. Your average user does not need shells, the only people to really want something like this is racers that want to build packs. You may give Danny at SMC a pm and see if he has any clues on how to get shells. Your gonna have to buddy up to a battery distributor most likely to try and get access to them.
