Anyone dye there rx casing?

Just trying to brainstorm how I could possible paint or dye my spektrum rx. Trying to go with all black. Anyone do this before?

I have used Rit Dye and iDye Poly for wheels and car parts, and 2 weeks ago i tried both on my Spektrum Tx (black and red).

Don't know if it was the type of plastic used by Spektrum or the silver coating they use, but it did'nt take.

I also tried to dye lexan with both types of dye, that would have openned up several interesting uses, but it didn't take to lexan either.

Good idea though.

For what its worth, I tried to dye the capture rings that come with cvd's. Just like the cases and lexan the dye didnt take to or soak in. Ive asked the question on how to dye them but no one has responded for a week or so. Im thinkn because the plastic isnt porous at all that the dye will not work. Painting may be your best option.

I take back the paint idea might be the best. I think Pulse brings the best idea tk the table. I have yet to try to plastic dip anything but have seen it done to all different types of materials with sweet turn outs.
