question about a servo!!!

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if a standard servo s3003 futaba will be sufficant enough to use as a throttle servo on my 1:10 scale on rd nitro touring car....thanks

I wouldnt run it. Its too light. If it were just throttle itd be ok, but it servs as the brake too.

This is my favorite:

No it's not cheap but throttle servos take much more abuse than you think. You need one that's really fast, lots of torque to deal with braking, return springs, etc. and most of all, durable. This servo fits the bill perfectly and is well worth the investment. It will last you for years while others might only last a few races.

Want to save a few dollars, this one is a bit cheaper:

Personally, I'm leery of Savox but a lot of people use them with great success.

Why not give a Savox SV-0220MG a try, only $30:

Too slow for my tastes. I find anything slower than .12 or so, I can tell a very definite delay between full throttle to full brake. Plus I don't trust the durability of a servo that cheap. Still, if the speed doesn't bother you, give it a try and let us know how it goes. Might be good as a steering servo in a nitro TC.
