will it work

So I'm getting a turnigy battery and charger my question is the charger says any battery will work If it has a jst-hx adapter well my battery says it has a trx discharge plug.so will it work?sorry still learning..the charger is a accucell 6 turnigy thanks for all the help

Hoese37 07-02-2013 02:50 PM

The XH adapter referrs to the balance connector.

XxX700XxX 07-02-2013 02:55 PM

So I should be good?

Dave_S 07-02-2013 03:28 PM

You will be fine if you have jst-hx on battery, the turnigy batteries I have seen have jst-xh, if for some reason your don't you can get an adapter for cheap. The specs listed for battery your purchasing should say what kind of balance connector it has

XxX700XxX 07-02-2013 04:22 PM

OK so the turnigy battery I want it doesn't show in the picture a balance plug and doesn't say it has one? Is a balance plug a must have?

Dave_S 07-02-2013 04:43 PM

If its lipo it should have one, I don't know about 1s though, maybe some 1s don't have them? Is the battery lipo, life, nimh?

XxX700XxX 07-02-2013 04:45 PM

Its a 2s lipo 5800 mah turnigy

mkiiina 07-02-2013 05:07 PM

Post a link but it will come with one. If you have the bullet connectors it will have a harness with 3 bullets, 2 for positive and negative and 1 small one for balancing between the 2 cells.

specs i found for that battery (if its the nano-tech) say its jst-xh

XxX700XxX 07-02-2013 05:24 PM

Yup its the nano tech one thanks for the help..before i order it should I do the 2s 5800 or 3s 3300? Right now with nihm I can hit about 35mph and I wanna at least be able to get in the 40mph range without changing my gearing.and what run time can I expect out of a 58002s and a 3300 3s

For that really would help to know motor kv and what have you, your best option would just search r/c calculations, were you can input your information, and it will tell you theoretical top speed based off of motor, gearing, voltage, tires and such not

XxX700XxX 07-02-2013 06:07 PM

I got a team associated rc10 t3 with a vxl system spur gear is 83 pinion is 23

Dave_S 07-02-2013 06:36 PM

If its vxl-3s your motor is 3500 kv, just plug numbers into here rc calculator, you can find in web search, I can't post link because I don't have enough posts.

Just cause I'm nice, I will help you out a bit. If you have stock t3 tires diameter is 3.75, gear ratio 2.6:1, 83 spur 21 pinion, assuming your tires don't balloon, at 4.2 vdc per cell with fresh charged 2s lipo your motor will be spinning about 30,000 rpms, your speed would theoretically be around 35 mph, if tires ballooned to 4" top speed would be about 37 mph, on 3s with tires not ballooning with same set-up theoretical top speed would be about 52 mph, but your motor will be spinning at about 44000 rpms, so it would be a good idea to keep an eye on the temp

Thanks a lot Dave s!! Looks like I'll be going with a 2s
