4pk receiver help

i am not 100 percent sure of the model number of the receiver, but last night I had a few runaways. its like it got hot and shut off. if I waited I had no problems. has anyone had this issue?

it never did it in my electric buggy. only the nitro.

like it possibly thermuled or something in that nature.

The 603FS/FF, 604FS/ff, and the 614FS all have a thermal sensor in them. If they over heat they shut down.

how can this we fixed? I drive the associated 8.2 and I have foam in the receiver box. I was running a stock motor mount and never had an issue. once I switched to the kindheadz mount its like it got to hot. anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?

definitely not fun chasing a car or seeing it hit a brick wall.

Make sure it not covered in foam on all sides. dont put anything over the top. I have two holes in the cover facing the rear of the car, this helps to let some of the heat out.

Whoa on the CAPS there buddy lol. I use a short peice of foam pipe insulation, the split stuf you can get from the hardware store. It fits my RX perfectly. It covers two sides and the bottom, and its a perfect fix in the radio box.
