Hey guys. I bought an LRP SXX Stock Spec V2 last summer, without knowing about all the BEC issues. I am about to finally put it in my SCT and get racing. Is there any way for me to check and see which lower board I may have?

I would rather sell it while it is working than fry it and chuck it. I am running Savox, and I heard the old SXX boards with Savox is a ticking time bomb.

Also, where can I buy the upgraded lower board if I decide to go that route?

Got the answer. If your "set" LED is green, you have the revised lower board. If it is not green, you have the weak board. Thought I would post for future searches.

if you take off the bottom of the case, newer better board has 3 little cut out squares in the inside. Old board had none....

Cool, I will check that as well. My set LED is blue, which makes me lean toward having the old board...according to AE support.

How much do you think I can get for a like new SXX Stock Spec V2 with the older board in it?

$75 shipped???? I am likely to sell this speedo.

Send it in and have the board updated. May be free or inexpensive.

They stopped the free exchange long ago. I sold the SXX for $85 on ebay and bought a Speed Passion Reventon Pro. Had enough left over to buy a 6 pack.
