Default Brushless hums/peeps, but wont run

I'm a bit confused here:

I have a LRP Vector X11 / Nosram Matrix Revers, that I tested with my old FM radio, and everything worked fine. Didnt race the combo, just tried it in the living room.

Then a month or two later, I swapped from FM to Sanwa MT-4 + RX-461.

The RX+TX is bind, and servo works flawlessly.

And now the motor wont run. It sometimes moves a tiny bit, and it hums at little throttle and peeps high frequently at full throttle.

I've run through the setup procedure for the Nosram, and the Nosram responds correctly to throttle movements (verified by checking the small LED's according to the manual)

I tried another Sanwa RX and new binding proces + Nosram setup, same result.

Then I connected the old FM system, ran through another Nosram setup, same story.

After all this testing, the motor was too hot to touch...

I've of course rechecked the wiring. When I take the Sanwa to another car with an LRP ESC + motor combo, everything works fine.

So now I'm confused....

Are the motor simply just dead by incident, while just sitting there and waiting a couple of months?

Check to make sure you have the motor wired correctly and you dont have any wires/tabs touching. Sounds like you have something hooked up incorrectly.

It showed up, that I had spilled two very very tiny threads of solder on the endbell, close to the tabs. They were so tiny, that they were hard to see, so if it wasnt for your suggestion, I'm not sure I had found them :-) Thanks :-)
