Progressive RC Combo Packs

Hey All, I am in the market for a new charger. Currently using a Hitec X1 and racing two classes. I am looking to upgrade and was looking at this http://www.progressiverc.com/the-ticket-350w-combo.html
I am hoping to stay in the $200 range and would like to balance charge multiple batteries. Is this a decent set up that will hold up or will I be looking for more power??
Any comments or suggestions..........

I've dealt with Progressive RC a couple of times and I can't say enough about their customer service and quality.

I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet but I do plan on an upgrade soon. I decided on getting one of their case combo's. I travel a lot for business and on my downtime I plan on pulling the SCTE or TLR22 out of the trunk and bashing around here and there. Sometimes I can be on the road for 2 weeks at a time so I've decided a case combo would fit my needs on the road and at home too.

Enough is relative, and depends some on what batteries-classes you are running. 1S, 2S, 4S, ? And how much non stop you want to practice, or do you take breaks to wrench a little, etc.

Can say that is a solid charger with a fair bit of power, and desirable flexibility-advanced features. The power supply is possibly one of the best combinations of power, small size & weight, cost, and reliability going (note the slightly higher 15+V voltage, great for that charger but may be too much for other stuff). Agree with deeretrax that ProgressiveRC service is top notch in my experience and everything I have heard.

You mention wanting to charge multiple batteries. If they are the same cell count and no larger than say 4S, perhaps consider adding a parallel charge board (aka paraboard). Of course read up on parallel charging a little, there are a few limitations, it works best if packs are at similar discharge (voltage) levels for example. But in the right circumstances that puppy could charge 4 lipos faster than a 4 port 50 watt deal can, or faster yet with fewer at a time.

Caveats aside, it’s quite likely a very sweet upgrade.
