DSM1 compatible receivers?

Hi, I'm rather attached to my retro-fitted 2.4g M8 and can't afford an m12. Sorry if this question has been asked billions of times, I can't find anything hopeful.

Is there any (cheap) receiver that will bind to a spektrum DSM pro series module?

I bought a bunch of those orange rx's coz a guy told me they'd work with DSM.
They don't.

Thanks for any advice

I had the dsm module, then upgraded to the dsm pro when it came out for the m8.

At the time the only rx's that were pro were the sr3001 (came with it), and the sr3500... but it worked with the older rx's.

Not sure if the losi's are dsm or pro but they work with it.

I haven't seen any fake or compatible DSM Rx's only the DSM2. You could probably trade off some of those Orange Rx's for some SR300, SR3001 or SR3500.

Is there such a thing as a DSM2 module I could get that would be compatible with those orange rx's?

They only made DSM & DSM Pro modules for radios.... Not sure why they never made DSM2 modules... maybe because all the MFG's had some sort of 2.4 gig radio by the time DSM2 came out.
