Savox Servo Problems

Hi
Im using Savox 1256tg and 1258tg on steering and throttle on a 1/8th buggy. Im using a protek 2s lipo and airtronics rx461 reciever.

Start it up and 5 minutes later the brand new 1258tg steering servo wont work. Fit another brand new 1258 and once again a few minutes later its dead. The 1256 doesnt blow, just the 1258.

Could this be because the savox servo is 6.0v and im putting in like 8volts. I know the protek 2s is 7.4 volts but when i put the multimeter on it its has around 8 to 8.2 volts when fully charged. Should i change to a high voltage servo.
Thanks

The 1256 And 1258 are Standard Servos. If you smash a LiPo unregulated into them, they are going to blow up. They warn you about this in the documentation that comes included in the packaging with the new servo.

Use a regulator or buy Hi Voltage servos.
