sc10 electrical snafu

setting up an sc10 rtr i bougt nib. Changed motor to a titan 12t. radio is axp3-ssi receiver is a trs402-ssi. original motor was a reedy radon.

Ran the car for a minute or two with original motor.

After changing motor:

on/off switch: lights go on esc and receiver when switch is on
lights go off when switch is off.

disconnect battery...

After connecting motor, When i connect battery with switch in off position, motor goes full on.

Where did i screw up ?? :confused::confused:

How can i fix it ?? :confused::confused:

A bit more information..

Removed the motor from the chassis.
When on/off switch is off, receiver and esc lights are off, but motor power is on.
When on/off switch is in, receiver and esc lights are on, but motor power is off.
Tried this:
Turn on transmitter
turn on switch
lights come on
plug in motor. no problem.
press throttle, motor is either 100% on, or 100% off.
no reverse.

recalibrated esc
when switch is off 100% power.
when switch is on no power. no throttle

rebind
when switch is off 100% power.
when switch is on forward throttle 100% only. reverse throttle, no power.
