Default Tekin RS, Redline 17.5T no brakes ?

I have just finished building my Sakura, have a Tekin ESC and a Redline 17.5T motor, I am using a Futaba MX. I have done the radio calibration on the Tekin, have the motor setup with BL fwd/brk/rev delay. Everything works fine but the brakes seem to be very weak ? have set brake on the hotwire to 80% so not sure what the problem is ?

Endpoints set at 100 on the radio? I always set the brakes at 100 on the hotwire and turn them down on my radio if needed. I have a 4pksr. Not sure if you can do that on your radio though. The other thing to consider is if the motor is used or ever gotten hot (>180 degrees) before you could need a new rotor. If a motor gets too hot the rotor looses magnetism. When you loose that magnetism you will notice it first in the brakes from my experience.

Yes mate all EPA for throttle and brake set at 100 on the Tx, motor and esc are new. I'm a bit lost now, if I put it in reverse and hit forward it stops as there is no delay, I can feel a small amount of brakes but at low speed they do SFA, so at speed I have a problem.

I had to reverse esc function on the Tx as forward and reverse were around the wrong way initially, though don't think this effected anything.

What surface are you running on and what software version in the esc?

Just a carpark basher ATM, I have just downloaded the current firmware from Tekin. Should I just run it as fwd with brake and delete the reverse ?

You could try it. Turn the active braking on and see if that helps first.

OK have turned active braking, brake minimum and brake strength to 100, one thing I've noticed is the quicker it's going the better the brake works, at slow speed they take a while to slow the car ? I still have brake drag set to low.
Thanks for the input Odin544 it is appreciated.

I had the same issue and turning on active braking made all the difference.
