ESC problem (I think) - PLEASE HELP!
 

Hi,

I recently bought an Ansmann Racing Xirius Pro Brushless 4.5t combo. I've installed it into my car and tested it, but when I accelerate suddenly, it turns left sharply :confused:. I suspect it is caused by the esc, as it was fine with my old esc.

Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What radio gear?

Sounds like on accelleration the amp draw is high so the BEC cuts out, the RX loses signal and off we go.

Is your battery fully charged? Try fully charging it, then see if it does it again, failing that an external BEC or Receiver cap will help stabilize the voltage to the receiver. Seems to be worst with Spektrum and Futaba.

Im using ansmann racing w5 2.4ghz combo and an alturn usa high performance race servo (high speed), yes servo is digital.

I think it has a capacitor already attached - im using the ansmann xirius pro sensored esc

It was almost fully charged. Where can I get an external BEC and receiver cap and which one would you recommend.

Also, I am using the tamiya connectors at the moment as my deans ones havent arrived yet - could this be causing it?

The settings I have on my ESC Programming card are: BREAK, DEAD BAND, TIMING, DRAG BRAKE.
Could adjusting any of these help?
