How do i adjust the timing
1 Attachment(s)
On a Duo 2 motor I have ( I got this pic from the for sale section cause I am at work at the moment ), but I have the exact motor.
Other motors i have you loosen the 3 screws and rotate the can. This on looks like it might have a fixed timing, but this one in the pic is angled more than mine, hence why I was asking. If you look at the outer hole set ( 3 ) then you see this motor has the studs ( lack of better words) in the middle, mine has them on the end and the U shape of the can is lined up with the solder tabs, not angles like this. So I am thinking there is a way, but almost seems I will have to take the motor apart? Any ideas? |
If you back the 3 screws out, you then turn that endbell one way or the other to advance or retard the timing. Not sure which hole represents what for timing. Hopefully someone more familiar with these motors can chime in and tell you. You have a choice of 3 timing settings by turning the endbell and re-inserting the 3 screws.
