Will a Mamba Max Pro work in a Truggy

I just bought my first truggy (D8t w/Tekno v4 conversion) and need a little help.
I currently have a 2000kv Tekin T8 truggy motor and a Mamba Max Pro esc.
I see most people using Mamba Monster or RX8 . I have not had good luck with the rx8 and the MM is not sensored.
I know the mmp is rated for a lower amperage so I was wondering if it would work?

I wouldn't trust a MMP to run a 17.5 motor on 2s!

It's rated for it, and some people do it, but I wouldn't say it'd be overly reliable. Buy a Hobbywing SCT Pro which is 120A Rated sensored and 2-4s lipo.

I currently run a MMP with a t8 1900kv Tekin on 4s in my Tekno converted D8 Hara edition buggy. It has been very reliable with no problems. I have another one for the truggy but I could sell it and get something else if I need to.

MMP are quite stronger than you think, I actually spoke with a guy at castle and garunteed me I could run my Neu-Castle 1512 2650kv With my MMP just had to go to a thicker gauge wiring, soldering on the board voids the warranty though so I would just cuts wires close to the board as possible and throw some 6.6mm bullet conectors on there. I ran my in my rc 8 e until I sold the car just fine.:nod:

P.S. throwing that mmp in anything 8th scale I would direct solder the on off switch wires.

I use a MMP in a 1/8 scale since two years now and with a BEC its the best esc I had this said I use it with a 6S setup which means a low amperage
