Could really use some help. M11x and binding....
 

Hey guys....I just picked up an Airtronics M11X a few days ago from A-main hobbies. The RX that came with the radio ( 92744 ) bound to my radio with no issues at all.....super quick like 2 seconds.

I picked up a new 3-ch RX with my order as well ( 92524 ) and I have tried like 15 times + and I can not get the RX to bind to the radio. Extremely frustrated.

I know the 92744 is a "FHSS- 3" and the 92524 is a "FHSS- 2"......is there something I'm missing here on the binding process? Like is there something on the radio I need to switch when going between RX's?

I used the steps to bind "by the book".....and got the 92744 working easily , but this other one....I am having no luck.

Damn man....after being out of the RC thing for 8yrs....the very first buggy I built has a bad Tekin RX8 which I have to send back.....and now 1 out of 2 of my RX's on my brand new radio is giving me problems. Christ I can't catch a break.

You should switch to FHSS-2 on the radio to bing to an FHSS-2 Rx.

Go to setup in display mode and change it to FH2 and bind it. Set it up as a new model so that you can switch models and use the 2 different Rxes.

Are you holding the button down on rx BEFORE connecting power?

Losiracing : yeah I was doing that and that's how I got the FHHs-3 RX to work.

Iamhuman : That was it man! Thanks! I had to read the book to find out where everything is ( It's a big book!). I was thinking I might have to change the TX to FHHS-2 mode some how but just wasn't sure until now.

BTW.....did either of you guys switch up from an M8 up to the M11X? Holy hell I can't believe how sophisticated this radio is......even compared to the M8! I have a lot of learning to do on this radio. She's one sweet piece of equipment! Probably overkill for me......but for $339.99 , and a step up from my old M8.....I think it was a great purchase.

Glad you got it working. I use the same Rx with VRC Pro. I have the 451 for my car.

I read the manual for 10 minutes and figured out most of the functions. I haven't tried using the mixing yet.

I switched over from a Flysky GT3b. :lol: It's a 35$ radio that served me well for a while but gave up on me.

Since I'm left handed, I thought it'd be a good idea to go to a radio that can be converted for left handed use. It was either the M11x or the Radiopost TS401 and I went for the M11x since my LHS had one.

This is something I did not know about.....being able to convert to a left handed radio? I myself am right handed , but one of my best buddies is left handed and he has had a hell of a time trying to find a left handed radio.

Does airtronics actually do the conversion? If you don't mind I'd like to get some info from you on this?

Oh wow.....never mind man....I found it in the manual. this is going to shock the hell out of my buddy. He's been wanting to get a left handed radio for so long.....but didn't really care for that other brand that makes them....can't remember what they are called. Thanks again man.....much appreciated!

The M11x is very easy to convert.

All you need to do is take off the two hex head screws (4mm, I think). One is near the power switch and other one is on the other side. You take those off, take off the upper module, turn the handle by 180 degrees, flip a small switch and put the top back on. It's a 5 minute job and detailed fairly well in the manual.(It's on page 10)

AFAIK, the Futaba 4PKS, 4PKS-R, Sanwa M11x, M8, M12, Spektrum DX3R, Ko Propo EX1-KIY, Radiopost TS401 can be converted for left handed use.

EDIT: Hah, I just saw your reply. I'm glad for your friend. It's a boon to have a radio that works for us lefties.

I'm facing the same problems when binding my m11x with the 92524.

I have switched to FH2, but I have completed forgotten the sequence of switching on the radio, holding the bind button on the rx...etc.


Please help. Please let me know when to hold or when to release the bind button on the rx.

I got it!

The problem is that I have forgotten to send the binding signal from the M11x...


I guess I was too excited about building my new Team Associated RC12.
