THROTTLE PROFILES; what's the difference
Was trying to search for this and really didn't find a good explanation.
Can anyone tell me exactly what happens when you change the throttle profile on the ESC. For example I have Associated's RTR esc in my buggy and it says there's four settings from Very Soft to Maximum. I have JUST turned it on for the first time and played around in the basement (snowing outside) and quickly realize I need to learn how to drive this thing in a very large and safe area!!! Lol Anyway, thanks in advance and any advice for a super nubbie would be greatly appreciated |
Basically it means that at Maximum the throttle response would be like mashing (stomping down hard) on the accelerator pedal in your car and Soft would be like using the accelerator with an egg between it and your foot.

nice and simple... thanks for that! I think I might change the profile from standard to soft or super soft because it feels like I'm "mashing " the gas only on standard...

wait till you get to a track with it first. you may need that instant power to clear jumps with a short run up to the ramp etc.

Do you think being as new as I am it could help me to change the pinion from the stock 17 down to a 16 or 15. The RTR has a 2000kv motor in it and the local track is tight, technical and indoors... Thanks |
always best to ask the locals what they're using.
