General Electronics Help

Vehicle: HPI Apache C1 Flux – Stock electronics.

Vehicle stopped working. Fresh batteries - no lights on ESC, no power to receiver or servo…nothing. I tested each component separately and verified all working ok. So I decided to put a receiver battery in the “bat” port on the receiver and everything came to life and was working properly. WTF…what would cause this to happen? Why am I not getting any power from the main batteries/ESC to the receiver? The only thing I could think of was that maybe the BEC circuit in the receiver is bad?

Any insight would be appreciated, Thanks!

BEC in the ESC. If it goes bad, you get the symptoms you described.

can I add an external bec?

Yes. I had to do that on my RX8 in my 1/8 buggy. Castle makes a 10A version for about $20
