LRP sxx- which version is best?
Hey guys,
Im looking to buy a used lrp sxx and am curious which is the best version. I think at this point I prefer the TC spec, but v1 seems to have a much higher amp rating than the v2. Also I read something about a BEC problem on the original v2 units. Then it comes to the board upgrade, aside from marketing language is it really better? So if I get one without a board upgrade, is v1 or v2 is best? If a unit has a board upgrade, does the version mater? I guess my main concern is that the sxx tc spec v1 seems to have a much higher amp rating so wouldnt that make it better, board upgrade or not? My use will be 2wd buggy 8.5T. sourced from manuals: Rated current V1--764A phase v2--400A phase upgrade board:?? Thanks |
Why not just go with an LRP Flow?

First off, all models you have described are good. V2 with the upgraded board is better for mod from what a few at my local track have experienced on their Superstocks. Whatever esc you choose from the models you have described have more than enough capabilities to handle a 8.5 . I personally would try to find the V2 upgraded but if you can get a V1 for a better deal, go that way.

Cant wait, going from my sphere tc spec back to the regular sphere I noticed a very noticable drop in overall power/punch |
