Tekin RS Pro problem

Hey guys I'm having a problem with my Tekin. I'm not sure why or what's causing the problem but it seems to be glitching. I recently swapped motors from the Trinity D3.5 17.5 to the Team Powers Plutonium 17.5 and now it's glitching at times. It'll run fine for a few minutes then as I let off the throttle to turn and try and get back on it, it'll hesitate or won't go for a second.

It did this several times during the heats and main. I swapped out the motor for a different Team Powers Plutonium 17.5 motor (from one of the guys that work at the hobby shop) that we know works and it did the same thing. I purchased a new sensor wire with the same results. I was told it could be the capacitor and would like to get some opinions on what else could be causing the problem.

I did check temp on motor and it seems to be running around 100-130F so I don't think it's over heating.

Any help would be appreciated.

let me bring this back to the top. This is the same problem I am having. It only happens on low throttle inputs and seems to be happening more often now. I also have changed motors and sensor wires. Any suggestions?

Erik installed a capacitor on the receiver and it solved my problem. No more glitch and it's running smooth as butter. Hope that helps

Hello all. I asked this question in another thread, but no reponses, I thought I would try here. The first week I was running this ESC, it seemed to work fine for about 4 minutes. It would start to cog out, and die at different points. We thought it might have been motor problems. Temped okay, but I went from 7.57 to 8.29 FDR just to be safe. It was suggested to me to try another capaciter on the ESC and get a glitch buster on the ESC......At this point, I am pretty sure it is not the motor... We are pretty sure it is the RS Pro now. After a lap or two, sometimes even shorter, it starts to cut out above half throttle, and make that cogging sound. Here is a list of what we tried this weekend.
1. Both stock and murfdogg caps.
2. 3 different sensor cables.
3. 2 different Tekin 5.5 (mine is gen 2, and the other we tried was a gen 1)
4. 2 different receivers.
5. Glitch buster on receiver.

Radio Equipment.
Airtronics MT4
Hitec 7965mg

I am thinking that my 2 week old RS Pro is a lemon.

Thoughts?

What are your ESC settings?

Dual mode?

Went down to TP 1, to put it in blinky mode. That didnt work. Took it to TP 4 to make sure Dual was clicked and just took the timing down. Current limit to 80 and THP2. I tried a bunch of different settings. All did the same thing.

Try putting it in Sensored mode, not Dual.

Thanks Tres, I tried that too. Frustrated. I have an email to Tekin right now. Waiting to hear back from them. Wasted 2 weeks trying to figure this out. But I do appreciate the time in answering.

Okay, I heard back from Tekin, they said it sounds like it is definately an ESC problem and they want me to send it in. I will try to update this thread when it comes back, IF they tell me what the problem was.
