I have not seen the clear? the one I use is from the auto parts store mostly used for car body moldings

I'm pretty sure the Parma stuff is just 3m clear VHB.

Top stuff is nice but the 3m body molding tape is where its it. Paint supply shop sells it for 15 a 50' role here

This. Available just about everywhere in the US (WalMart, KMart, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.). Holds great, easy to remove when you need to.

I like parma clear it won't hold the best when you first use it but after it's been on a few days it's stuck like glue and the great thing about it when you have to remove it you can much easy than the foam stuff...i hate that foam stuff!!!

Give it a good press at first and its great. Love how easy it comes off.

Another vote for parma tape!

RcNuttz 01-27-2013 09:54 AM

i'm surprised at how much you guys like the parma, I was at the track last week and bought some to installed the receiver with it and 1/2 pack later it came off I cleaned the surfaces and did give it a good amount of pressure to secure it too

the 3M body molding is really the best I used but does not come off as easy as the parma stuff but is not as bad as the foam tape if you take your time pulling it off

they guys using the parma are you on road or off? (i'm off road)

I use the 3m gray stuff when something is to be stuck down near permanently. But most of the time I use the 3m clear since it comes up much easier, and it sticks pretty darn well if the surfaces are good and clean. It's the stuff Walmart sells in the hardware/paint dept.

it will come off easy when first put on ...Like said above press it down hard wiggle it a hair back and forth and hold it down for a while it will stay better but i noticed once you have it on for a few days it sticks on and won't come off.

I know it sounds wierd but most of us at the track I race at use a little shoo goo for the heavy stuff. I use it on everything in my 4WD sc truck. I have never had it fail me and when it's time to remove the electronics a little twist to free it up and you can usually remove the piece and then peel off the remaining shoo goo in one piece.

I do this also on some stuff workes great... only thing i like about the parma clear is it makes like a shock proof cushion to protect your stuff better.
