Dx4s or 4pl

Hey guy after Xmas looking at getting a other radio as I don't like the sanwan mt4 I am think of 4pl or dx4s which one be a lot better to used and set up

4PL has 6.8ms latency vs 11/22ms with the 4XS. You also get adjustable trigger throw and tension for the trigger and wheel.

Nothing like being able to set the radio to feel exactly how you want/like...

+1 for the 4pl. I'll let someone else do the bashing on spektrum. I don't feel like going off on a one page rant.

+1 4PL............. +1 on NO spectrum

Add me to that list! I have the 4PL. I have always had Futaba radios. Spektrum sucks. The only Spektrum radios I have are the ones that came with RTR vehicles. When they stopped working right (didn't take long), I just put Futaba receivers in them so that I can use my 4PL to control everything! Another advantage to the 4PL, is the price of the receivers. You can get the 3 channel receivers for $40. The 4 channel ones are $50. Not too bad! I've seen several problems with other people's Spektrum radios. I've personally had two of them fail on me. Airplane radios too. I have NEVER had a problem with any Futaba radio I've ever owned. I have a 20 year old Futaba AM aircraft radio. I don't use it any more, but it still works! Get the 4PL. You won't be sorry.

Get the life battery also. Finally got tired of replacing AA's and got the protek 2100 life battery. Any battery that fits the 4pk fits the 4pl.

Aah yes! I forgot the LiFe pack! I use a 2100mah Turnigy Nano Tech LiFe pack. This thing is awesome! I can run my radio a very long time without recharging. Three or four race days are no problem for this pack. It recharges in about 10 minutes.

Looks like the US warehouse is out of stock right now. If you want to wait, here's one that's in the overseas warehouse.

Thanks for this post. I was actually debating on the same radios. I currently use two different radios: a Spektrum DX3C and a Futaba 3PM 2.4. While the 3PM is an older radio, it just feels more solidly built than the Spektrum. I also have had issues with glitching when powering on my Spektrum in my buggy (sr300 receiver and savox servo), but after blipping the throttle it goes away. The DX4S is a nice looking radio, but I think I'm going to go with the 4PL.

4PL all the way, Spektrum is far behind Futaba in terms of quality

I've had a DX3S for over a year and have been very disappointed by the feel operation and range. I bought a Futaba 4PL recently and I can tell you that it is far superior in every way.

For the price the 4PL is a fantastic radio.
