ESC capacitor question
 

Hey guys,

I have an LRP sphere tc spec I need repair. The capacitor wire got pinched and its wires go into the case. My question is that can i just remove the capacitor and wire it directly to the battery input wires just like newer ESC i have or will it disturb the way this esc was engineered? I wanna get this thing running again since my original sphere seems "soft" compared to what I remembered the tc spec feeling.
