Need help Choosing a Power supply...
 

I am getting this charger Friday in the Mail

Now im looking at power supplys for it. it says the DC input voltage is : 11-15 Volts ( i shouldnt go over that right...??))

I need a good power supply for somewhat decent price.

Ive looked at the following

But i dont think these would be a fair Supply for power to this charger, the most batterys i will be charging at a time will be 2 or 3, but 2 cells or 4 cells.

I am on a budget of about 75 bucks. and i really want to get one that will be GREAT For the application, Im willing to spend about 100. but id rather keep costs lower.

What would be a GOOD power supply for this. One that meets its minimum Requirements of " NOTE: The PC-Link USB adapter is not included and must be purchased separately. Also, a power supply that can produce a minimum of 20 Amps and 200 Watts is required to charge four batteries at 5 Amps each. "

I am not only looking at Amainhobbies, but i need something that ships to the US.

I like it... Keep em comming.. but i think that will be my power supply.

Server power supply all the way. Can be picked up for around $20 shipped on ebay. With a little bit of soldering it can be converted for RC use and will blow any "RC" power supply away on cost, quality and size.

Server Power supply is the way to go.
I bought a Hitech 400 watt x2 charger that requires 60A power supply. There are only a handful of commercially available power supplies, all of which are in the $200 range.

So for $16.95 including shipping from ebay I converted a HP PROLIANT DL580/ML570G3 RPS Redundant Power Supply into a 12V 73A charger power supply, could get 100A with 240V but Ill stick with the 120V.

If you can solder it takes all of 15 minutes to convert with no opening of the power supply. Instructions found HERE

Best $16.95 I ever spent!
This power supply exceeds the specs on the commercially avialable power supplies for RC charging by a long shot and it saved me $183.05, paying for my Hitech 2 channel 800 watt charger.

This particualr supply is fairly small compared to the RC supplies of this output and far smaller than most other server power supplies.

+1, I'm using a Meanwell unit and it works great since three years. It's actually the only PS I ever bought.

Been using this since 04/2000 for both my RC and my HF radios and it still going strong :nod:

I just picked up one of these off Ebay for $15.95 shipped! Something new to try out. One question. Where did you get the power cord for this unit? It doesn't use the standard PC power cord here in the US. Thanks.
